Editorial Policy & Data Standards
How MenuPriceWorld ensures integrity, transparency, and accuracy across our global restaurant directory.
1. Source Hierarchy & Data Verification
We categorize all restaurant information according to a rigorous source hierarchy:
- • Tier 1 (Official Primary):Official regional chain websites (e.g. mcdonalds.com, mcdonalds.co.in), official mobile apps, and published nutritional PDFs.
- • Tier 2 (Verified Secondary):Authorized delivery partner apps (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Swiggy, Zomato, Deliveroo) and in-store photographic receipt samples.
- • Tier 3 (Unverified / Research):Public crowdsourced submissions and automated research drafts. These remain in internal draft status until verified by our editorial team.
2. Freshness & Expiration Thresholds
Prices and menu offerings fluctuate constantly. To maintain data freshness:
Verified within the last 90 days
91 – 180 days since last check
Over 180 days; flagged for audit
3. AI Usage & Human Editorial Control
While we use AI tools (including Google Gemini) to extract, format, and synthesize complex unstructured menu data from multiple regions, AI is never treated as the authoritative final source. All AI-researched items enter a dedicated review queue with status AI_RESEARCHED and require manual confirmation or automated source cross-referencing before publication.
4. Corrections & User Submissions
If you notice an outdated price, incorrect calorie count, or discontinued item on MenuPriceWorld, please contact our editorial desk at [email protected]. We investigate all user reports within 48 hours.
